This place had a lot of options, and some stuff I haven't seen before! They had what I needed at the normal price and provided sanitary, fast service. Everybody's wearing masks and social distancing is enforced. There was hardly anyone there when I went on a Friday afternoon, love that. Happy drinking ;)
Haven't been in this neck of the woods for a long time (it's amazing how different this part of Kearny is looking nowadays for someone like myself that grew up here decades ago) but swung into Tully's for some adult refreshments. Even the inside of the liquor store is different than how I remember it with the cash registers in a completely different location. But all you probably care about is their selection and pricing, right? Understood. Selection: easy-peasy, George and Weezy... it's 5-stars. All sorts of beers (and wines and liquors) from all over the globe. And there's not an inch of wasted space in this store that doesn't have stock piled high. The pricing though? Surprisingly not as good. Had to restock on the big bottle of Bailey's (which is mostly bottle and not enough Irish Cream, am I right or what?!) and dropped $50 when you can get that for $5-$8 less at some other places. Behind the counter (and Plexiglas) you can find the standards: lottery machine and the no-nonsense (and cool) staff.
